<DIV>I did an extensive test with a 4.4.24 ARC and my Spider cluster and Spider did not send a ping to ARC during the 25 minute test period (it was sending pings out on Spider links). It did receive pings every 5 minutes from the ARC and ignored every other one. I was getting disconnections every 10 minutes so I re-did the test after setting obs to 3. This time the unanswered ping dropped the obs count to 2 and the answered ping returned the count to 3 with no disconnection. It therefore appears for me that Spider doesn't ping ARC and it disconnects a link with ARC on the next ping following the obs count reaching 1 instead of zero. </DIV>
