<p>Further to our short discussion on pronunciation on Monday, when I raised a question on how to say 'nos', I have come across this guide and wonder if it's helpful. I've always understood choral Latin to be pronounced in an Italian style, but perhaps I'm

<p><span>The 'o' sound in 'nos' is rounder, as Alex suggested, but it matches other 'o' sounds too (as in 'domine').

</span>I expect there'll be some disagreement, as person in the audio files (who sounds Italian) says excelsis as 'eks-shelsees' rather than 'eks-chelsees'. But I think consistency is important, so I'm happy to go with the general consensus!
