Well first thanks for all your help with this . who i got it running first the router has a fire wall in it so i use the DMZ host which let the router think that IP was on the wan not the land . then i chaged this and it all is working . and now i added Norton internet security and set up the telnet port . this is all running under windows 2000 pro thanks all Bob kc2cwt
