[Dxspider-support] sysop privileges

Folks,

I have just set up V1.49 build 56.887 on a Mandrake Linux (2.4.8-26mdk)
kernel in preparation for a switch from Windows to Linux Spider.

I have the same problem as several others, login using ./client doesn't
give me sysop privileges, even though I am using the alias callsign.
Login using console.pl does not work, as something is wrong with my
curses library...

Is there a way to hack my way in as a sysop, so I can start configuring
Spider for the switch to go live?
