As I recall, when I installed Telnet.pm using the cpan shell I had to
force it to install because it failed one of the tests, i.e. make test
produced errors. I never bothered to sort out the source of the errors,
because the parts that Spider needs are apparently working fine. From
within the cpan shell, you can force it to install by issuing "force
install Net::Telnet".

On my system, I found Net/Telnet.pm in /usr/lib/perl5/site_per/5.6.1/.
