That is because you are not subscribed to the mailing list with the

winclient.pl is probably obsolete, it appears only to work on win9x
platforms. Don't really know how to sort this as this is a perl problem,
not a spider one as such.

In answer to your basic problem (being sysop on an ax25 remote) is:

1. don't do it, it isn't secure (actually nothing is, but this is
particularly insecure).

2. If you insist then do a set/password <sysop callsign> <long string>
where the <long string> is at least 80-100 characters long no including
spaces - make sure you write it down or copy and paste it somewhere
safe.

3. login remotely and issue the 'sysop' command, you will get 5 numbers
back. Enter the appropriate letters from the password string in (2)
above (not including spaces) (see help sysop for more instructions).
