[Dxspider-support] What next after installing JRE-1.3.1?

I installed JRE-1.3.1, it has been installed in the /usr/lib/jre1.3.1
directory.

Is there anything needed to start the JRE or is installing it enough? I
am trying to get the spider.cgi work but so far no success, I get the
login screen which means Apache is working but the spiderclient class is
not found, just a gray box pops up which is a java thing so far as I can
judge.
