[Dxspider-support] Respawn

hi guys,

Windows doesn't have the ability to 'respawn' a process
Windows NT/2000/XP has services - more or less the same thing as
the daemons in unix/linux

you don't have to be logged on as a user to have services running -
they run in the background...

they can be started/stopped or started automatically at startup
you can also specify the user account used to run the service

a solution would be a small service program which checks the status
of spider and starts it again when not active..

It should be possible to run dxspider as a service - this would be
nice because you don't have to be logged on to have dxspider running

more info available in the Microsoft Knowledgebase at
www.microsoft.com/technet
(that's the database used by Microsoft support when you call them ....)
