Hi Ian,

              Yes , thanks for your message and the info on the 1.49 manual.
My feelings about the chmodding are that people (like me) do make mistakes
(probably frequently) and this is quite easily done with Linux. It would be
handy to know what chmod level the issue
or renamed issue files should be in case of an error being made. The
ownership is no problem.

I guess the extra work you intend for local and local_cmd in the manual will
be in the 1.5 issue ?
