Hi.
Today I found another example of the PC17 problem I mentioned earlier this week.
Take a look at this output from the log.
11Mar2002 at 12:40:25 <- I OZ2DXD PC16^OZ2DXD^OZ4DII - 1^H24^
11Mar2002 at 12:40:25 -> D OZ4PAC-6 PC16^OZ2DXD^OZ4DII - 1^H19^
11Mar2002 at 12:40:25 -> D OZ3BUL-7 PC16^OZ2DXD^OZ4DII - 1^H19^
11Mar2002 at 12:40:25 -> D OZ7DXC PC16^OZ2DXD^OZ4DII - 1^H19^
11Mar2002 at 12:40:25 -> D DB0SUE-7 PC16^OZ2DXD^OZ4DII - 1^H1^
11Mar2002 at 12:40:25 -> D OZ5DIG-7 PC16^OZ2DXD^OZ4DII - 1^H19^
Now this is all OK.
11Mar2002 at 12:45:49 <- I OZ2DXD PC17^OZ4DII^OZ2DXD^H24^
11Mar2002 at 12:45:49 -> D OZ4PAC-6 PC17^OZ4DII^OZ2DXD^H19^
11Mar2002 at 12:45:49 -> D OZ3BUL-7 PC17^OZ4DII^OZ2DXD^H19^
11Mar2002 at 12:45:49 -> D OZ7DXC PC17^OZ4DII^OZ2DXD^H19^
11Mar2002 at 12:45:49 -> D DB0SUE-7 PC17^OZ4DII^OZ2DXD^H1^
11Mar2002 at 12:45:49 -> D OZ5DIG-7 PC17^OZ4DII^OZ2DXD^H19^
This first PC17 is also OK.
11Mar2002 at 12:46:27 <- I OZ2DXD PC16^OZ2DXD^OZ4DII - 1^H24^
11Mar2002 at 12:46:27 -> D OZ4PAC-6 PC16^OZ2DXD^OZ4DII - 1^H19^
11Mar2002 at 12:46:27 -> D OZ3BUL-7 PC16^OZ2DXD^OZ4DII - 1^H19^
11Mar2002 at 12:46:27 -> D OZ7DXC PC16^OZ2DXD^OZ4DII - 1^H19^
11Mar2002 at 12:46:27 -> D DB0SUE-7 PC16^OZ2DXD^OZ4DII - 1^H1^
11Mar2002 at 12:46:27 -> D OZ5DIG-7 PC16^OZ2DXD^OZ4DII - 1^H19^
So OZ4DII logs into OZ2DXD again. That is also OK.
11Mar2002 at 12:47:15 <- I OZ2DXD PC17^OZ4DII^OZ2DXD^H24^
Now, this is not OK. OZ4DII logs out from OZ2DXD but for some reason oz5bbs-7 does
NOT pass this PC17 frame on to the rest of the net. This means that after a long time,
maybe even days, OZ4DII still shows up in my neigbours as being connected to
OZ2DXD.
In the last example there also was a short time interval between the two sets of
PC16/17. Is this problem due to some kind of loop prevention or what is going on ?
The time between the first PC17, that was treated correctly, and the second PC17 that
seems as if it was simply discarded, is only 1 1/2 minute. So that actually could be the
problem ?
