[Dxspider-support] 2 x CPAN help pse

Hi all,

          Because our two cluster group have had so muich
trouble with RH 8.0 I decided to upgrade slightly from RH
6.1 to 7.2.

Mostly the setup is coming along ok. Kernel compiled ok ,
ax25 stuff installed ok ( but not configured yet ). I hit
trouble when installing the CPAN modules.

Info : Kernel 2.4.7-10    Perl version 5.6.0

The CPAN files ( IO and Net-Telnet ) fail make test. All the
others installed ok. I seem to recall that IO is no longer
needed but as create_sysop.pl complained bitterly that
net-telnet facilities couldn't be found , I conclude that
net-telnet is essential.

Any idea's / solutions known of ref this failure to make
test with files IO and Net-Telnet with the above perl
version ? Everything to date on other computers has been
with Perl 5005_03 so not had this problem before.
