Hi All

I have a couple of suggestions for additional commands That I would like to
see in Dxspider at some stage.

1/
	SH/FDX

Show formatted DX this would work exactly like the current SH/DX command
except that the output format would be in the same form as normal spot data

I.e

DX de JA1FNA: 18074.0 TX4PG 1227Z

instead of the normal SH/DX format

18074.0 TX4PG 28-Apr-2003 1227Z <JA1FNA>

Reason for adding this command is that quite a few logging packages expect
data in the
DX de format or treat spots in the DX de format differently

this command is currently available on AK1A Clusters

2/ SET/STRIP and UNSET/STRIP

A console display formatting option to strip out all unnecessary spaces
from Spots etc.

I.e

DX de JA1FNA: 18074.0 TX4PG 1227Z

becomes
DX de JA1FNA: 18074.0 TX4PG 1227Z

and
18074.0 TX4PG 28-Apr-2003 1227Z <JA1FNA>
Becomes
18074.0 TX4PG 28-Apr-2003 1227Z <JA1FNA>

Another possibility would be to replace the separator spaces with ^ instead
like
DX de JA1FNA:^18074.0^TX4PG^1227Z
and
18074.0^TX4PG^28-Apr-2003^1227Z^<JA1FNA>

Using a separator such as ^ may make parsing easier but is more likely to
confuse logging software.

Reason for wanting this.
To improve the appearance of spot display on small devices such as mobile
phones and electronic organisers.
To reduce costs of maintaining a connection to the cluster via GPRS (which
is billed per byte transferred, including ASCII spaces..)
Removing the spaces would roughly halve the cost of maintaining a GPRS
connection to a cluster, I can currently get about 80 spots per 10K unit (~
7.5 Cent ( 0.075 €))

There is a Java Telnet Midlet that will run on some mobile devices
