Hi All
I know nothing about DXSpider on a Linux platform but if you are using
a Windows operating system and the AGW Packet Engine it is very easy
to set up an RF Beacon with text of your choosing. This is because you
can socket many different packet applications into the AGW engine on
port 8000. One of the simplest which will provide an RF beacon facility
is the AGW terminal program. It will also allow you to monitor traffic
on your RF channels at the same time. Download from
http://www.raag.org/sv2agw/agwterm.zip . Set the AGW terminal program up
(in properties) with the callsign of your cluster node. As has been said
before the AGW Digipeater will do a similar job, as will Digiplex and
several others.

If you run into problems I'd be happy to try and help.
