[Dxspider-support] Strange thing.

David,

I have seen artifacts of nodes which have changed callsigns on other nodes.
A recent change in Southern California was to change AD6SU to K6EXO. I
still see AD6SU on some nodes.

I believe you should use /spider/perl/update_sysop.pl when you make a change
to /spider/local/DXVars.pm. I am not sure what the difference is between
create_sysop.pl and update_sysop.pl. I have never looked at the files.

Subject: [Dxspider-support] Strange thing.

73 to all.

Last friday dxspider CT1ZW-5 changed to CS1ROA-5, by phone i gave all
instructions to change parameters:
change in /etc/ax25/axports;
change in /etc/ax25/ax25d.conf
change in /home/ct1drb/spider/local/DXVars.pm
change in login from file /home/ct1drb/spider/connect/cs1sel-5, instead
of CT1ZW-5, changed to CS1ROA-5, before i said to CS1SEL-5 sysop to get
new entry SET/SPIDER CS1ROA-5.

After last change i said to CT1EEB, the other ham on the phone, to do
/spider/perl/create_sysop.pl

Aparently all ran fine and after it i said to CT1EEB to do a reboot to
computer to update changes in AX25.

After reboot CT1EEB entered as sysop cluster and did command connect
cs1sel-5, again all ran fine.

But lasts days we saw that in portuguese clusters there is a (CT1ZW-5)
and some hams connected in, but in fact they connected in 144.625 to
CS1ROA-5. At CS1ROA-5 there is only 1 internet connect to CS1SEL-5, did
command SH/C/N in CS1ROA-5 and result says that (CT1ZW-5) arrived from
CS1SEL-9, but in CS1SEL-5 same SH/C/N command says that (CT1ZW-5) is
from CT2GWY-5. In fact I am very confuse with it!!!!

Any help will be great since i thing that i gave exatly orders to CT1EEB.

Best 73 to all.
