Michel,

I have no Redhat 8.0 around here (I use SuSE and Spider worked on ALL
versions that I have tried since version 6.4) but I really can not
imagine that RedHat 8.0 and Spider is a no go. The only thing you need
is perl and some CPAN modules, this can't depend on the OS.

Please contact me private if you wish that I take a look on your system,
to see if I can help out.
