John,

A traceroute will show you that there is a disconnect between BTInternet and Zen (which provides connectivity for for GB7DJK and GB7DXA) at the Level3.net peering point.

I don't doubt that they are (painfully) aware that this is broken .....

Why not use WR3D meanwhile?

  Hi Iain

It's weird. I can telnet into gb7baa and wr3d but get no reply from gb7dxa and gb7djk. This rules out the firewall blocking telnet. I may have to phone btinternet and see if it is being blocked there, though I see no reason. The only thing I can think it may be at present is a routing problem somewhere.

  Regards

  John,

Given that GB7DXA and GB7DJK are currently (and have been) chatting away to each other without difficulty, I fear you have a more local problem .....

    Hi

Since 2255z last night, GB7WDX has lost both its primary (gb7djk) and secondary (gb7dxa) internet connection to the network. Both nodes are unreachable. This has happened fairly regularly in the past with gb7djk but very rarely do I lose both connections.

Is there another GB node that I could connect GB7WDX to as an additional backup internet link?

    Regards

    John, g7opj, SysOp gb7wdx
