Tnx Charlie,

That worked good. Is there a way to set up as a secodnary node that only
attaches when needed?

Jim

Jim:
Create a file named "crontab" and place it in the /spider/local_cmd
directory. Put a line similar to the following into this new crontab
file...

0,5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55 * * * * start_connect('k1xx') if
!connected('k1xx')

In your case, replace my callsign with the callsign of the node that you
connect to. This line in the crontab file will check at minute 0,
minute 5, minute 10, etc. to see if you're connected to the desired
node. If not, it will start a reconnect attempt.

If you are interested, contact me off the reflector and I can show you
how to connect to a secondary node in case the primary goes down.

73 charlie, k1xx
