The RF user ports are for general access. By accident DXSpider is a service
running on the attached IP-Server ;)

Main purpose of the broadcast is to serve OM doing mobile operation (which is
quite popular in this area) or having problems connecting to any node. 

IIRC some client software for dx-clusters (eg. RXClus by hb9bza) is capable
of receiving/managing unproto transmissions.

In DL a pocsag based paging system (running on 439.9875 MHz) is popular.
Spots are transferred into this system, too.
