[Dxspider-support] RE SH/SAT

No, I think it's before that. Look at the preamble, if it has
 "SB KEPS @ AMSAT $ORB04155.N
 2Line Orbital Elements 04155.AMSAT"
in it convkeps should work ok. If you have Ray's keps emailed to you from
their mailing list, the preamble will contain your address info and that's
what's throwing it off. Delete the initial lines until you get to the
preamble above. That's what I do every week on the K1RK cluster (Windows
based system) and it works like a champ every time. Oh yes - make sure your
email program is not removing unnecessary line endings. Outlook will do that
normally. That also throws he parser out of whack. You can get Outlook to
reinsert the deleted line endings. The sat name has to be on a line by
itself before the 2 lines of kep data.

Keith,

Just as a point of interest, I subscribe to the AMSAT Keps mailing list from
Ray Hoad. I checked your file to mine and it is the latest email data.
However, I did notice that the ending data is just "/EX" in yours. My email
has some blurb about subscribe and unsubscribe stuff. Maybe that is what
was screwing things up?

Keith,

I did exactly as you suggested. Now I am getting errors when I am doing the
"perl convkeps.pl keps.in" It gives a whole bunch or "out of order on line
17" , 19,21 etc. This is the result.

Hi Tony

What happens if you download the keps from amsat.org and save them as a text
file

Then open that file in notepad and select all and copy

Then open keps.in in spider\perl

Then past the new keps into the keps.in file save and close

Then from a dos window c:\spider\perl

Then run perl convkeps.pl keps.in

Then from the cluster consol run load/keps

Then sh/sat it should so the correct updated keps

I have just done the above and all was updated ok oh leave all the headers
in place on the downloaded file from amsat

The above is a bit longwinded but lets see if it updates the keps then we
can automate it

Tom,

It did not work. I put your file into my cmd\load as well as local_cmd and
it did not work using the "load/keps 1733" format.

Kep data still indicates information is over 570 days old.

Tony
