I think I got through it ok Charlie, the cluster starts and I now get Build
58.3 whereas before I got something lower (if I can find where I wrote it
down, hi). I did look at the archives as suggested - wow. It seems to be a
mix of people asking WinCVS questions and getting CVS for Unix answers or
vice versa.
I found all of the CVS folders (there's a lot more than 30!) and got the
line changed in every one. You would think you'd only need to do it once in
the setup and it should be able to propagate through all the CVS controlled
folders. It must do something similar to that when it has to create a new
directory there, no? So that leaves me one more puzzle, but I'm not going to
sweat it too much since it seems to be running ok. I did not get a clean
exit from CVS. It ran fine down to the end and then came up with:
C txt/usermanual.txt
P txt/usermanual_en.txt
cvs [update aborted]: connect to cvs.DXSpider.sourceforge.net:2401 failed:
Connection timed out
*****CVS exited normally with code 1*****
It ran through everything before that with no error messages and I guess it
means that somewhere near the end of the directory tree I missed a CVS
folder and a root file.

Tony:
I just tried WinCVS with the CVS server and it works fine. A few weeks ago
after one of the upgrades I did have a problem. At that time I needed to
check the box to "Create missing directories that exist in the repository"
This shows up on the 1st dialogue box after you initiate an update.
