[Dxspider-support] Auto updating Keplerian elements.

    Sorry for my english. I use frequently the command sh/sat  in my 
local cluster, but if the sysops cannot update the keplerian elements 
weekly manually, the satellite users we will receive a incorrect 
information. Now, I use in my local cluster the next "script" in the 
CRONTAB file to update the keplerian elements a few days on the week. 
This is:

00 05 * * 1,3,5 spawn("wget http://celestrak.com/NORAD/elements/amateur.txt")
02 05 * * 1,3,5 spawn("/spider/perl/convkeps.pl amateur.txt")
02 05 * * 1,3,5 run_cmd("load/keps")
02 05 * * 1,3,5 spawn("rm /spider/perl/amateur.txt") 


    In this part of the crontab file, the cluster download the keplerian 
elements with the "wget" command from http://celestrak.com and put the 
file in /spider/perl  The next is convert the keplerian elements in 
DXSpider format, update the cluster database and delete the downloaded  
"amateur.txt" file.   The cluster do this every Monday, Wednesday and 
Friday at 05h UTC.  Celestrak update the keplerian elements three times 
per week, and AMSAT 
(http://www.amsat.org/amsat/ftp/keps/current/nasa.all ) only update 
every Thursday, if you want use the AMSAT files do the changes in the 
script.

    Frecuentemente uso en mi cluster el comando sh/sat, pero si el sysop 
no puede actualizar los elementos keplerianos semanalmente, los usuarios 
de los satélties recibiremos información incorrecta. Ahora, uso en mi 
cluster el siguiente "script" en el fichero CRONTAB para actualizar los 
elementos keplerianos varias veces a la semana. Este es:

00 05 * * 1,3,5 spawn("wget http://celestrak.com/NORAD/elements/amateur.txt")
02 05 * * 1,3,5 spawn("/spider/perl/convkeps.pl amateur.txt")
02 05 * * 1,3,5 run_cmd("load/keps")

     En esta parte del fichero crontab, el cluster se descarga los elementos keplerianos con el comando "wget" de la web http://celestrak.com y guarda el archivo en /spider/perl. Lo siguiente es convertir los elementos keplerianos en formato DXSpider, actualizar la base de datos del cluster y eliminar el archivo descargado "amateur.txt". El cluster hace esto cada Lunes, Miercoles y Viernes a las 05h UTC. Celestrak actualiza tres veces por semana los elementos keplerianos, y AMSAT (http://www.amsat.org/amsat/ftp/keps/current/nasa.all ) tan solo cada Jueves; si tú deseas usar los archivos de AMSAT haz los cambios adecuados en el script y listo.
