Ok. First remove the dupefile and restart. I don't think this will make
a difference, but it worth a try seeing as someone has mentioned it as
an issue. In parenthesis: I have to say (because of other, professional,
experiences) that I am starting to go off Berkeley DB in a fairly big
way... However, replacing it will be a big nuisance.

The next thing I am going to ask is more complicated. There is a program
for linux users called '/usr/sbin/lsof'. This program allows you to
determine which files a program is using and what state it is in. There
are two things I would like someone experiencing this problem to do:-

1. run: ps axl and send me the output for the dxspider perl instance
2. taking the process id from the ps command run: lsof -p <pid> and send
me the output.

You will need to be root to run lsof to give me all the necessary
information.
