[Dxspider-support] Connection issues

Try renaming "hiscall.txt" to "hiscall"  The .txt should not be there.  I'm
not an expert either at this, but I had the same problem when I first
install the software.

I am a new user of DXSpider, utilizing BPQ32 on a Windows 2000 platform. It
is set up to work Telnet, RF-VHF and RF-UHF. I'm not having any problems
with stability or functionality except for the fact that I cannot connect to
another cluster to get spots.
 
I cannot connect to the partner DXSpider cluster, yet he can connect to me.
Our connect scripts are the same, except for the locations of the callsigns.
 
This is the text from the connect script I have set up for him - it's
located in c:\spider\connect  and named "hiscall.txt"
 
#timeout 60
connect telnet mycall.dyndns.org 7300
'login'  'hiscall'
 
Both of us use dyndns.org and port 7300 - I verified that it is setup on the
correct IP. There are two spaces between the 'login' and the 'hiscall'.
 
He can and is currently connected to me.  I'm getting the spots I want, so
life is good for right now. If I take my system down, I would like to be
able to connect to him without having to ask him to connect to me.
 
Whenever I requested a connect to him when he was not yet connected to me,
it returned the following:

Being new to this, I'm asking to be spoonfed any ideas that other members
might have. I did a search through the archives before posting, but didn't
see anything that looked like my issue as described above.
 
I appreciate any time and consideration given to my need.
