Did you do it through CVS?  It's so easy, even I can do it... and without the aid of my helper monkey:

cd /spider

then:

cvs -z3 update -d

Then, after you shutdown and restart, you'll be at the latest version.  Dirk's been so busy the past few months that I've been doing a CVS upgrade every time I log on to the Linux box, just to stay current.
