Hi Luigi
I am using ubuntu 7.10 server and spider starts in modified file
etc/event.d/tty5 .
tty7 and 8 dose not work .
etc/event.d/tty5
# tty5 - dxspider

start on runlevel 3
stop on runlevel 0
stop on runlevel 1
stop on runlevel 4
