I remember having a problem with Perl installs and the ppm install of
db_file, so for the fun of it I tried installing on Windows 7.  With the two
versions of Perl (ActivePerl-5.8.9.826-MSWin32-x86-290470.msi and
ActivePerl-5.10.1.1006-MSWin32-x86-291086.msi)  on the download referenced
by Bob, N7XY, I had the problem with db_file.  I went back to
ActivePerl-5.8.0.802-MSWin32-x86.msi, and the install went as described in
the documentation.
