[Dxspider-support] Beginner

Dear Béla,

Many thanks for the very useful information. To be honest this is the first
time I ever tried to do anything like this and I have simply followed the
instructions that I found for installing DX Spider. I used an old machine
with Windows 98 but anyway it does seem to be working.

I think what I needed to say, as you did, is that I need a link partner to
share spots with. If you can accept my cluster you can find it at
hs0zed.dyndns.org 7300. I would be very happy if you can assist, thank you
in advance.

Do I need to do anything further at this end? At the moment I have the
listeners.pm script set to ["0.0.0.0", 7300].

Kind regards

Martin, HS0ZED

Hi Martin,

welcome to the club. In fact you do not need an internet source that
provide the spot but few links to other Clusters (Spiders) via Internet
and of course to configure your Cluster to accept incoming Telnet
connections and setup link partners. For instructions reed the WIKI pages:

http://wiki.dxcluster.org/index.php/Main_Page

Let me know the callsign of you Cluster and I will setup you at my
cluster, HA5DI-5 (telnet dxc.hasix.org 8000)

Regards,

Béla, HA5DI
