Manuel,

And this works OK across an AX.25 transport, does it?

Thanks, and regards - Iain

  Subject: [Dxspider-support] "Certified" users.

  Hello everybody, I'm Manuel IK3STG SysOp of I3ITX-6 .
Sometimes in the clusters network we see some bad announces or spots that I think should be partially avoided by enabling users password.

In my cluster password is enable for internet users access because of security and also to prevent cluster misuse.

I think should be o good idea to "mark" the spot and announce messages with a kind of symbol in a place not editable by users so other clusters users know that the spotter is "certified" call sign.

An example should be to place a special charather after the spotter callsign :

  DX de W0MM#: 3503.3 JK3AGC 1409Z
  DX de 2E0IKW: 14113.0 YS1/HB9KNA 57/ LP... 1407Z IO94
  DX de SM2CEW: 1813.0 HS0ZEE CQ 1409Z KP15
  DX de PB0AMU*: 14218.0 YO3FRI HNY TINA 1409Z
  DX de N8DE: 18070.0 PZ5RA cq 1409Z
  DX de I0JBL: 7170.0 HV0A cq bande basse italia 1409Z JN62
  DX de I4YEL: 10140.0 I4YEL rtty 1409Z JN54
  DX de IZ5MMK=: 7133.0 IT9YVO CQ Bande Basse Italia 2010 1409Z

  # is a user connected via RF port.
  * is a user connected via internet in a cluster with password enabled.
= is a user connected via internet in a cluster without password.
the type of access if other users not "detected".

If Dirk think this idea should be ok I'm available for beta tester, please le me know how i can help.

  Ciao
  Manuel
