[Dxspider-support] IO::Socket::INET: Timeout

My DX spider often shows this message when I'm connected to it on my private
network. I have to sometimes type a command three or more times to get it
to go
through. I am running the latest iteration of DX Spider on SuSE linux 7.1
personal.
Similarly, I find that I cannot stay connected to DX Spider over the lan, or
on the Spider console. The connections eventually time out and dump me. I
am thinking the
socket timeout message mentioned in paragraph one is related to the timeouts
on the lan and console. Can someone tell me how I can stop the timeouts?
I'd like to have LAN and console connections stay connected all the time. I
might add that on the LAN, I used various telnet clients including DX
Telnet, puTTY,
Windows Telnet, so don't think it has anything to do with that. Perhaps
something is not set properly in a CPAN module.
Has anyone else encountered this problem, and if so, how did you resolve it?
Thanks....
Best regards,
Gary, K7EK
