[Dxspider-support] console.pl stopped working after update

I did an update of both perl and the kernel in my CentOS 5 virtual 
machine and a 'git pull' on /spider. Now, console.pl no longer works. I get

The W1NR DX Cluster node is undergoing maintenance.
Please try again later.

There is nothing in the debug log and telnetting into the cluster is 
working just fine.
