[Dxspider-support] ubuntu 11.04 server installation assistance

Thought I had it solved any idea what I am doing incorrect?

I am trying to install dxcluster and having issues with the install


I followed what I found in the archives and received a few errors.


Any assistance would be appreciated.

apt-get install git
apt-get install libcurses-perl
apt-get install libnet-telnet-perl
adduser --home /spider (Will ask for password and some other questions) ****
needed su - sysop (enter password)
rm .*                             **** error message rm:  cannot remove '.''
Is a directory and rm:  cannot remote '..' is a directory
cd ..
git clone git://scm.dxcluster.org/scm/spider    ****Fatal: destination path
'spider' already exists and is not an empty directory
 
This is a far as I was able to get
Any assistance would be create.

cd
mkdir local
mkdir local_cmd
cp perl/DXVars.pm.issue local/DXVars.pm
cd local
nano -w DXVars.pm
Change at least $mycall, $myname, $myalias to your own settings.
Save file
cd ../perl
./create_sysop.pl
./cluster.pl
 
Cluster should now be running.
Open another session as user sysop
cd perl
./console.pl
 
You are now connected to your cluster.
