What URL are you using?
Have you changed the standard document root? Because unless you have
these are not the standard places.
The document root: /var/www
The cgi-bin directory: /usr/lib/cgi-bin
But you should really go and look at your apache config, because I have
also seen cgi-bin in /var/lib/cgi-bin.

I check and for apache the path in my apache2.conf file point to /var/www
and /usr/lib/cgi-bin.
I did the chmod 755 to the /var/lib/cgi-bin
And the chmod -R to the /var/www
I copied the spider.cgi to the /usr/lib/cgi-bin
And the reset to the files to /var/www
When I try to browse locally
I enter http://dx-spider/cgi-bin/spider.cgi
I get page displayed.
I enter my callsign and the browser stated a java error and hang.
Thanks
Mike
