[Dxspider-support] Call Sign Validation Exceptions

I am not using IP filtering for spots.  I did for some time with spots from 
DX Summit where most abuse was coming from but have discontinued that at the 
present time.  I do use IPs to track down abusers.  The recent problem with 
someone using the call VE7FKM was traced to a specific user in Arizona.

For years AR Cluster and CC Cluster have allowed calls like EI/W1AN to enter 
DX spots.  I keep hearing that this might cause problems with some software. 
I have yet to see anyone document a single case where this is true.

Yes, it is true that you cannot use EI/W1AN with a TNC.  The MYCALL will not 
accept the "/". However 99%+ users are now using the Internet.  Spots with 
EI/W1AN as either DX or Spotter are sent to TNC users with no problems at 
all.
