The default is 10, so you have changed it somewhere in a (startup) 
script. And, not that it really matters, but it is (slightly) more 
efficient to say:

set/var $DXDebug::keepdays = 40

rather than quote the number.

You will probably find the offending line in /spider/scripts/startup.

Otherwise grep for it.
