[Dxspider-support] I: Problem shutdown dxspider?

Hi, for about 1 month I have updated the dxspider to version 1.57

With version 1.55 I have never had any problem of dropping the dxspider in shutdwn while remaining inactive.

I looked at the log and I did not find at least at a fast enough view, no particular anomaly.

However, I noticed that the cause of the shutdown of the dxspider occurs because of the users.v4 file

This is because just this morning after a crash the spider went shutdwn. therefore the process is not restarted. I restarted the computer with a reboot, the dxspider is restarted but with the settings of the old user_asc because on the old I had set the old ik5pwj user passwords and trying to log in again, in fact he asked me for the old password. From this I realized that the spider had automatically reinstalled the old user_asc.

I hope I explained myself .....

I specify that after the installation I gave the commands as suggested in the UPGRADE.mojo file, namely:

/spider/perl/convert-users-v3-to-v4.pl

the conversion took place without errors.

Now after setting and converting the user file the program works but I don't know until and in all probability

it will relocate when an incorrect setting for the users will come to update the user file.

Has anyone had the same problem as me or do they know how to solve this anomaly?

Thank you

73 Alex ik5pwj.

Hi Gus and all,

as Dirk recommenden in one of his previous mail, it is strongly suggested to update all the exixtsting spider nodes to the Mojo version, moreover do the following command in every spider node:

rej/spot node_default input info db info wpm info cq
rej/spot node_default info db info wpm info cq

almost surely those spots are false and intentionally
produced.

About a month ago some European DXSpider Sysops reported
a similar trouble on their systems.

Since now my system remains save from those attacks.
