Stephen,

You can try the command

sudo ufw status

and you will see that it is open on the machine.

Have you tried disabling the firewall on that machine?

Asunto: [Dxspider-support] Ubuntu Server issue?

I loaded a "test" DXSpider node (K4ZR-5) onto a fresh Ubuntu Server 22.04 computer using the updated wiki instructions. I'm not able to be seen from outside the home network (canyouseeme.org <http://canyouseeme.org> ). The only networking setup for the Ubuntu Server was:

ufw allow 8800/tcp

ufw enable

What else needs to be done for the firewall or NAT?

Let me add, my main node (K4ZR) is running no problem on a different Ubuntu Desktop 22.04.1 computer. Both nodes are connected to the outside world via an AT&T fiber router. I've been using port forwarding with K4ZR for many years without any problems.

K4ZR 7300/TCP 192.168.5.200

K4ZR-5 8800/TCP 192.168.5.100

Both clusters can connect and talk to each other within the home network. I added the port forward entry on the router for K4ZR-5 and verified port 8800 was open using the Ubuntu Desktop computer and changing Listeners.pm to 8800 temporarily.

If someone could point me in the right direction please. I've spent the last few days on the internet reading and trying to figure it out on my own. Has anyone run into this before? Thanks in advance.
