Julian,
Spider in order to use a compatible communication protocol to old style
nodes, like the old AK1A Pavillion Software (the original Packet Cluster
software), has specific commands for defining types of link partner.
For the old AK1A type, the right command is "set/node <callsign>", for
DxNet exists the command "set/dxnet <callsign>" and [for completeness]
for the Clx there is the command "set/clx <callsign>". Using one of
these commands, new generation PC frames aren't forwarded to the adjacent.
In your test with the isolated DxNet, did you defined that node with the
"set/dxnet" command ?
A few years ago I've had on my Spider a partner that was running DxNet
and never received new format frames.
