No, Luigi.
Now you will have it active every time you start the node.
But to make it work, from console you can do the set/debug nologchan

I think you know it, but just in case, in DXVars.pm:

@debug = qw(chan connect cron msg progress state nologchan);

Thanks, after modified the /spider/local/DXVars.pm file, do I need to do a
'./update_sysop.pl' ?
