"either 'sudo service dxspider stop' or 'sudo systemctl stop dxspider'"

In the unlikely event that does not work then 'sudo cp
/spider/dxspider.service /etc/systemd/system' and try again. But then I
need to ask how your node manages to start automatically on reboot.
