[Dxspider-support] Definitive info on HB9DRV-9

Ian,

It helps a great deal. On the basis of your input, those who would say
"don't block HB9DRV" are gravely mistaken. On the other hand, "don't block
G4ELI" would be a valid assertion - but nobody has ever suggested that, to
my knowledge.

What would be interesting would be to find the who / what / where of the
current incarnation of that system .

Subject: [Dxspider-support] Definitive info on HB9DRV-9

Hi all,

I want to put this to bed hopefully. I ran HB9DRV-9 for Simon while he had
HRD. In fact, when he rewrote it, I worked with him to get the cluster
working as well as it could within HRD. At that time, the hostname was
spider.ham-radio-deluxe.com <http://spider.ham-radio-deluxe.com/> and
belonged to Simon. When Mike took over HRD, it made sense for him to take
the domain name and point it at his servers. I still ran HB9DRV-9 but the
hostname changed to spider.ham-radio.ch <http://spider.ham-radio.ch/> .
Simon then moved to the UK and eventually it was felt that he needed to
change to a UK callsign for the cluster. At that point, HB9DRV-9 was no
more. G4ELI-9 is run directly from Simons house and I run it. It runs on
an Ubuntu box.

If anyone is still using hb9drv-9, then they must be being directed
somewhere else. I do not know what address HRD shows for HB9DRV-9 if it is
still shown in the cluster list.

As far as I am concerned, I run GB7MBC and G4ELI-9 and HB9DRV-9 does not
exist.

I hope that helps
