[Dxspider-support] Server outage

Or to be more exact: "server upgrade" with errors. I have recently 
upgraded to the latest Ubuntu release and, as a result, had some 
problems with directories that used to be writable becoming read only. 
This seems to be as a result of some hardening done by all the Debian 
based distros. At some point I will try to find out how to alter the 
defaults.

In the meantime I have some web server issues and I am also wondering 
why all incoming emails to this group appear to be authored by Rob 
Roschewsk. This started happening when I upgraded my work machine to 
Noble- which was done before my server (above). Probably something to do 
with Thunderbird.
