Hi Dirk, This is what I get after logging in as sysop and pushing first: git reset --hard and then git pull....

This is strange as many people have clearly been checking for updates, since the time below, and have been successful in connecting to the 'git daemon' without all these permission errors. By my count nearly 2000 times so far today.

Does anyone else have updating (or checking for update) problems. If you have an odd moment, do a manual 'git pull' in your /spider directory and please tell me if you get any strange errors.

I have a number of complaints, in recent days, about not being able to update / clone from the standard git repository. This should now be fixed.
