[Dxspider-support] Node verification

Hello All

According to everything I've read and seen the logs such as:
1739128186^(chan) <- I VE7CC-1
PC61^7116.9^OZ6P^09-Feb-2025^1909Z^UP^S51J-2^CX2SA-8^95.226.159.41^H18^~

I have no other option than to STOP my connections with NODES that do not
have the option of Login and Password.

When I was using the old version of DXSpider, I MADE the EFFORT to migrate
to the latest one.

I remember Jean-Pierre F1OYP, Julian M0IPU, and Kin EA3CV helping me.

Dirk also helped with troubleshooting Windows compatibility issues.

Consequently, I will no longer have partners who do not have the possibility
of PROPER authentication.

Those who wish to migrate from other software to DXSpider are welcome.

I have a partner with AR CLUSTER, I don't know how they work.

I sent an email but he didn't reply.

If he doesn't have a username and password, he will be eliminated.

- No Partners with DXSpider without username and password.
- No Partners with other software that does not authenticate with username
and password.

This is my final decision to apply starting in March.

Best 73, Jose - CX2SA-8

Mike,

That is unfeasible.
It would first require the cooperation of the vast majority of sysops, and
even then, the logs would have to be centralised for a time domain analysis.
It can't be done.
If it is easier to update the nodes and knowing the problems we have, only
35% of the spiders have been updated. This is unacceptable.

I think I have a simple way to verify a node connection from hijacking.
If every node that generates spots must have a DNS address, checking the DNS
IP to the IP of the connecting node when it connects would be a much simpler
way of verifying a node without changing network protocols or even requiring
passwords.

THAT was the equation. EXISTENCE!... SURVIVAL... must cancel out...
programming!
