If you don’t have a fixed IP on you internet connection  you may be issued a new IP address when your router reboots.

It can then take 24 – 48 hours for the new details to propagate through the network meaning users won’t be able to connect..

You think 200 users all suddenly decided at 05:25 last Tuesday to connect to another node?

And then another 200 users did the same at 05:25 this morning?

No, that’s clearly not what’s happened.

I did that last week after the first drop, it made no difference.

And it’s been running for months with a weekly reboot with no issues.

But I’ll do it again now….

Back to the same user count, 200 fewer than before the router restart.

Reboot the node.
It is not normal practice to reboot the router. Connections may get stuck.
