Thanks for the explanation Keith,

Actually, if you send the spot -after logging- from the webpage, you are 
signed as the spotter when the spots go out EA4RCH-5 into the cluster 
net, and sending:
"SH/DX BY EA2CW" at EA4RCH-5 via a telnet connection, it gives:

145525.0 DXSTN*     17-Feb-2025 1656Z test pse ignore         <EA2CW>
* not the real

But if then you log via telnet to dxfun.com 8000 as i.e. EA2CW-15, you 
don't appear as connected as EA2CW at the node, and therefore, these 
kind of spots would be not considered valid by the:
set/var $DXProt::senderverify = 2  setting.

When I later connected to my server, and made "SH/DX BY EA2CW" the spot 
was not shown.

Now all clear ;-)
