Just wonder, what is purpose to set node up
and leave it as is, no maintenance????
Now, when lots of nodes have set fore registration,
traffic has been cleaned ramarkbly.
Setting registration as mandatory, is not big deal.
Even you have hundreds of users only few of them
"need" send spots. Most are just monitoring and want
others to find "DX" :) Means, they does not know, how to turn VFO :)
