Dave,
It was not my intention to issue a negative review, I greatly appreciate the work you have done.
My Linux bias showed, my bad!

New to the group here. I am part of the RBN team and operate a few cluster nodes, one of them DXSpider.
Kin, to clarify something... it hasn't taken a long time to realize anything. The one-year uptime for RBN telnet spots is 99.980% (yes, I have and keep the data). It is also provided as a volunteer service, like many who provide cluster nodes. The recent code change was to facilitate getting from 99.980% to hopefully several nines of uptime. It was a long overdue project, and many of us have lives outside radio.
Just needed to set the record straight. :-)
And thanks to Dan S50U for reporting a minor bug recently.
73,
Dave KM3T
on behalf of the RBN Team

Thanks for the information, Dan.

The RBN guys have solved the problem and the RBN feeds are up again.
For your information.
If anyone else has noticed the occasional loss of CW RBN spots it's because the RBN team is in midst of a transition for the telnet servers to Linux as they were running Windows-based code for a long time. They also state that the reason is that Linux is easier to protect than a Windows server so this part was retired the day before yesterday. Great move guys, TNX!
