[Dxspider-support] DXSpider install

I am trying to install DXSpider on Windows Server Data Center edition and getting very frustrated with the basic step of installing Perl. I pursued both options- downloading a package via whatever the commercial service is and via Strawberry or whatever the open source path is- and in both instances were unsuccessful. The commercial package installer installed Perl is some random temp directory and in Strawberry I couldn't figure out how to install the additional packages. Feeling stuck and frustrated.
Any suggestions how to proceed? Please don't ask me to move to Linux.
