[Dxspider-support] Perl KEY_RESIZE error on AWS

I've now answered my own question here. I upgraded the version of perl and
it all seems to work now.

I've just spun up one of my temporary cluster instances in Amazon Web
Services running under an admittedly old version of Amazon Linux 2018.03 but
running the latest v1.57 (build 547). Everything normally runs fine in this
evnironment, but when I try to start a console window I get this error..

 

[sysop at ip-x-x-x-x spider]$ perl perl/console.pl

Bareword "KEY_RESIZE" not allowed while "strict subs" in use at
perl/console.pl line 404.

Execution of perl/console.pl aborted due to compilation errors.

  

Has anyone hit this before and can save me hours of fruitless Googling?
