Thanks Chris – file ownership for some reason was root not sysop – fixed and VK5GR-2 is now upgraded to 608

Sounds like a ownership/permissions issue in the .git directory. If you run 'ls -al' for the file named, does it show sysop as the owner?

'ls -al /spider/.git/logs/refs/remotes/origin/test'
